One problem related to speed control springs has been reported for the 2012 Volkswagen CC. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Turning the steering wheel at low speed as I was exiting a parking lot and heard a metallic sound and steering got very tight, several warning leds presented on the dash display indicating air bag failures. All features incorporated with the steering wheel were inoperable including the horn. Took vehicle to vw dealer, service tech codes indicated the sccm module/clock spring has failed and needs to be replaced ASAP at a cost of ~ $ 800. 00.
