When I put my car in drive (to move forward) from a cold start, the vehicle hesitates, does not respond to the accelerator pedal, and does not move. During this time, the transmission does not engage, and the vehicle shakes and produces a loud clunking sound from underneath. After that faulty start, the vehicle operates normally, until the next cold start (vehicle is at rest for 30 or more minutes). Here is an example that shows the danger of this situation. When I back out onto my street, and I put the car in drive, a driver behind me expects me to move. That driver is not expecting a stationary car (stalled, in park, or anything else like the situation I am describing). That creates a safety issue because the driver behind me may not slow down. That driver could then collide with my stationary vehiclle. That could result in injuries or loss of life, to me, or to the driver or passengers in the car that hit me. I spoke to a vw dealer about this, cherry hill Volkswagen. They looked up information, and then replied to me "that's normal for that vehicle". The problem is this. That's not normal for any vehicle. That's a bad answer. I have been driving for 50 years, and I have never had any vehicle that performed this way, and I don't know anyone who has. That means it's not normal. If the dealer said "many drivers who own the same vehicle as you do have reported the same problem", that makes it a frequently occurring problem. It does not make it normal. Because the dealer did not acknowledge a problem, there has been no effort to correct it. - if every driver who purchased a 2016 vw Cc encountered this problem, then every one of those vehicles should have been recalled so that Volkswagen could repair the problem. - if some of the vehicles that were purchased had the problem and others did not, that proves that it is a correctable problem. If NHTSA is aware of this problem and has not directed Volkswagen to correct it, then you are not doing your job.

Interior head liner cloth has come completely loose and obscuring line of sight thru rear window. The car is garage kept it is 10 years old with less than 73k miles original purchaser owner. Wife pulled it from garage and as she was backing the headliner cloth let go from roof molding. I believe we are not the only ones experiencing this the dealership said the parts have to be backordered due to demand and had stated there was another customer beside ourselves with the same issue. This is very expensive to replace total cost is looking to be 2k. The entire assembly is so large that the rear window has to be removed to install. I believe substandard adhesives and other materials were used in the manufacturer of this items.

The vw Cc 2010 and other Cc models have a "tray" between the trunk and the back window that cracks with age depending on how much sun the car is exposed to. Cars under warranty will get the part replaced for free. The cost of the part is $200 and is bound to crack again due to the curvature in the design and the material.

Takata recall, I recently purchased a used vw Cc 2010 and later found out about this scary airbag recall. I contacted vw to find out if my car has already been serviced and found out the service is not available yet. No incident has happened but I'm nervous driving around with a defective airbag that may potentially kill whoever is driving the car. My adult son also drives it.
Underbody protect shield on passenger side has torn off four times under normal driving conditions. The most recent (12/23/2016) on interstate 80 driving west in nebraska resulting in pieces breaking off onto oncoming traffic. Car was traveling at posted speeds (app 75mph). Roads were clear, no rain, good highway conditions. This has happened three times previously and vw supposedly "fixed" at the owner's expense.

"takata recall" I was sent a letter describing this recall and the potential danger to myself of anyone driving the vehicle. It stated that it could deploy at any time and that the shards of metal from the bag could kill or disfigure me and also could harm other motorists. Part still is not available. My question is should I continue driving this vehicle and gamble it wont kill myself or others or can I make them furnish me a vehicle until parts are available for the recall repair? thank you: [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Rear trunk trim, near the rear window, is plastic and has split in half due to the florida heat. Multiple complaint online about this being a common occurrence, but vw is not fixing the problem.
The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Cc. The contact stated that water would enter the vehicle whenever it rained through all four doors.
