I had my clock spring replaced last year due to the recall, then my airbag light went on and my steering wheal started doing a clicking sound when I steer to the left or right all control panels on my steering wheel stopped functioning including the horn. I called Volkswagen and they said that they would charge me $150 to access the car, I told them about clock spring and they said that I would have to pay to get that fixed. I really don't find this fair that I have to pay to get something fixed that originally wasn't done correctly I think that they should take more responsibility for their workmanship. Also my seatbelt claps docent work I called them to see if this is something that they would fix being a safety issue and they said no. I think that all car companies should be responsible for seatbelt and airbag issues on a car. Not everyone has the money to replace seatbelt clasp and many people live day by day on there paycheck.
Seatbelt was used for child seat installation. Seatbelt was extended all the way out for child seat installation. Now the seat belt wont pull back in to the retractor. Tensioner/retractor system has failed, it seems.
Takata inflators: dealer replaced the airbags due to recall but the service light came on after replacement and dealer made excuses when I took it in for inspection sticker. The driver seat belt sensor doesn't stop beeping. The trunk latch doesn't work and dealer can't figure out why the suspension has cracking sounds. Also had a fuel leak which they did fix. Not happy with my vw.
Passenger side seat belt warning light comes on intermittently and alarm sounds, indicating that the air bag system is not working on passenger side.
The warning light/bell will sporadically indicate the driver's seatbelt is unfastened while its is still fastened. This happens while driving the vehicle at varying speeds. Dealership could not duplicate the issue nor could they isolate the problem causing it.
Tl - the contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Cc. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the wiring harness for the passenger's side front buckle assembly was defective. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 09v097000 (seat belts). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 50,000. Kmj.
