I have replaced my clock spring twice in 3 years, at the same dealership, southeast vw in santa ana, CA. My steering wheel will make a noise and all controls will stop working and airbag light will turn on. I brought my car in for the airbag recall and they are now stating the clock spring is broken and are wanting to charge me $541.
I'm concerned when this safety recall will be initiated to fix the airbag issue? my airbag light is on.
