Tl the contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Eos. While the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the transmission failed. The contact stated that the vehicle began sputtering and the rpms increased rapidly. In addition, the vehicle would not engage in the reverse position when prompted. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and turned off the engine. The contact restarted the vehicle and was able to drive home on most occasions. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. Hanover Volkswagen (1850 carlisle street, hanover, pennsylvania 17331, (717) 797-4721) was made aware of the failure and diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced based on diagnostic trouble code: p27-11. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no part available for the repair.
