One problem related to ignition module has been reported for the 2001 Volkswagen GTI. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Ignition coil failed on my 2001 vw Gti vr6. This failure also trigged oxygen sensor, coolant sensor, maf sensor and ecu to fail. As mentioned above engine misfires, a flashing check engine light, reduced power and bucking are all symptoms of a failed ignition coil.
