Two problems related to manual transmission have been reported for the 2002 Volkswagen GTI. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The park/neutral switch malfunctioned , which caused the vehicle to start in gear without depressing the clutch. Which resulted in an accident. (manual transmission) the unit failure allowed the vehicle to start in neutral or any gear. Scc.
