One problem related to vehicle shudder has been reported for the 2009 Volkswagen GTI. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The mechatronic unit in my dsg transmission was found to be defective. It would cause the car to shudder and jerk back and forth when starting from a dead stop. It would also do the same thing while in reverse.
