1 Starter problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2019

I was fully stopped at a major intersection during rush hour in los angeles (santa monica blvd and sepulveda). The auto stop/start featured was on, so my engine had flipped off. When I took my foot off the brake the engine is supposed to re-engage, but instead my car stalled (resulting in the very upset BMW driver behind me nearly plowing into my car) and won't move. The epk light and some warning popped up on the screen, but I was too distracted by not getting killed that I didn't catch what it said. I had to turn my car fully off and then back on again to get my engine to restart. I then took my car to the vw dealer in santa monica. They took nearly two weeks and 150 miles of test drives to try to replicate the issue but couldn't so they replaced the starter. My epk light still regularly comes on when I start my car, and I then have to turn it off and back on again to get my car to start, and off hesitates flipping over in the auto stop/start states. Please note I am the first owner of my car, and I had only had my car for about 6 weeks at the time of this incident.
