The contact stated while driving at approximately 5 mph, the rearview camera image intermittently was delayed and darkened; the vehicle returned to normal operation after several seconds. The failure occurred on several different occasions. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed a software update. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 24v480000 (back over prevention); however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000. .
