Seat Belt Problems of Volkswagen GTI

The seatbelt is failing as it does not retract back into its holder and I am uncertain as to how safe and effective it is. Note that I have not done anything to cause this damage to it, it is through use and time. Volkswagen group should approve fixes to it without additional cost to the customer.

I bought my car with 29,000 miles and now has 41,000. . My airbag light randomly comes on and flashes and on passenger seat. . . Even when no one is in seat . . . Volkswagen won't fix it even though I first complained to them car only had 31,000 miles and again at 35,000 miles. . .

Seat belt roller failure. Came home from running a few errands, car has about 43k miles on it, and I noticed the seat belt would not retract fully. I tried to pull it and get it to function correctly, but it wouldn't budge in or out. After a few tries, I managed to get it to release fully, but it still will not retract fully. Seems like replacement of the roller is needed to repair.

When buckling the driverside seatbelt before backing up, it would not latch.

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Gti. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph the front driver side tire blew forcing the vehicle to vier to the left therefor collapsing with the retainer wall, also the front driver side air bag deployed and seat belt failed to sustain the driver. The police was not notified nor the contact was taken to the hospital. The vehicle was totaled. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000. Bp.
