Two problems related to windshield have been reported for the 1997 Volkswagen Jetta. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer's 1997 Volkswagen Jetta GLS had multiple component failures. *** there was an engine coolant leak, the a/c did not function properly, the windshield was broken, the body had rust damage, the drivers side power window made noise, there was excessive rust to the muffler, excessive worn tires, engine and transmission sensors.
My front windshield has cracked 5 times at very low speeds. It seems like even if a fly hits it it tends to crack/chip.
