One problem related to other fuel type engine turbo-charger has been reported for the 1998 Volkswagen Jetta. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated that while driving down the road vehicle lost power. The power returned in about 2-3 minutes. She called the manufacturer and the dealer, and they told her unless the problem was first discovered at the dealership, then there was no problem. It did not happen at the dealership because one had to be driving the vehicle. Consumer maintained that this was dangerous because in moving traffic if vehicle slowed down it could be hit from rear.
