Engine misfires while driving or accelerating or slowing. Then vehicle vibrates and stalls. Intermittent and without warning lights on dash. Vw garage could not solve this problem April 11, 2019 and may 7 to 11,2019. Vehicle had recall on coils approximately 2011 and coils were replaced but one failed few months later and manufacturer replaced it. Mileage now is slightly below 40,000. Vehicle has stalled while driving twice and not trustworthy. Policeman helped move vehicle off road once Volkswagen garage advised keep driving to see if problem continues after they switched two coil wires. It has not stopped misfiring of engine.
I tried to pull across a busy intersection and the engine died. It was bucking and kept stalling out when I tried to move the car across to get out of on coming traffic.
The contact owns a 2005 Volkswagen new Jetta. The contact noticed that when attempting to take off for the first time after starting the vehicle, it would stall intermittently. The dealer was notified who informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer under warranty and provided no further assistance.
