The contact owns a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the rear driver side brake was defective. The contact inspected the vehicle and found that the rear driver side brake pads were worn prematurely. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 38,000.

It is my understanding that this has been a problem with many Jettas around that year.
