1 Wiper problem

The headliner adhesive for the vehicle has come unglued and is causing the fabric to sag and prevent a clear line of sight. This is a latent safety defect. From a reasonable search on the internet it appears that many Jetta owners have had the same issue, indicating a common manufacturing issue. The adhesive that was used is the same as the adhesive used on the remainder of the interior panels which are also coming off.

2 Wiper problem

Debris works its way past the shield at the bottom of the windshield, clogs up the drain holes in the fender and overflows into the heater box. It than leaks into the car and causes the windows to fog up to the point where you can not see out the windows while driving. The problem will occur when the vehicle is moving or standing still.

3 Wiper problem

I have 2009 Volkswagen Jetta 2. 5 and I have problems with my cars. 1) all my lights, except for the left side of headlight, are not working. All the lights went out at the same time. I changed the bulbs but still do not work. 2) since lights started to not work, I get seat belt warning signs and alarms even if I am wearing the seatbelts. 3) when I try to wash my front window with the wipers, window washier(liquid) would not come out.

The contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the sunroof exploded. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000.

The dealer stated that the electrical instrument panel for the windows needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and current mileages were 56,000.

6 Wiper problem

Windshield wipers system failed in snow storm. Parts replaced complete loss of engine power while driving in traffic. 8 times this has happened. Dealer can not find cause. No start situation, twice. Dealer can not find cause. Transmission noise. Dealer can not find cause, will replace transmission if noise continues.

7 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2009

2009 and possibly 2010 Volkswagen Jetta windshield wiper system stopped working when the brake was applied and only restarted when the brake pedal was released. Updated 02-26-2010. Updated ivoq 06/01/10 vehicle taken to dealer 4 times for corrective action and system is not repaired. Dealer told me that vw engineering stated that this is proper operation of the system and no repairs are needed. Dealers employees are aware of the safety hazard associated with lack of proper operation and state that they acknowledged the problem and that it is not in proper working order.
