Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that that the fuel line and the fuel injector was cracked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where repairs were made to the vehicle under NHTSA campaign id number: 11v490000 (fuel system, diesel) but the repair did not rectify the fuel line issue. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that they would not take the liability for replacing any additional parts. The vehicle was not further repaired. The failure mileage was 28,000 and the current mileage was 29,000. Kmj.
The first time incident happened car almost stalled and check engine light came on an car had loss of power car was taken to cooley vw they told me at first that it was a tube from the turbo had to be replaced and the part was on back order so I called back a week later an then they told me that the emission system was plugged an it had to replace the whole exhaust system that took them a month to complete an they put 100 mile on the car because they couldn't get the check engine light to go out then they told me that the car need an emission ecm they repaired the car I picked the car up I didn't even go 1 mile from dealer an the car almost stalled on me again so I checked the fuel filter for my self and found that it was rusting inside filter housing an the housing was full of gold metal filling I replaced the 92 dollar fuel filter myself because the dealer didn't even check the filter the second time the incident happened I was driving down i91 in vermont an the car just completely died while I was driving at 68 mph I then had the car towed over 100 miles to capital city's vw they had told me that the exhaust emission were plugged an that they had to change the exhaust system again there was about 4000 miles on it since cooley did it then the dealer called me back an said that there was rust and the metal fillings in the filter housing again the filter barely 2000 miles on the filter capital city's then told me that the whole fuel system had to be changed they changed the tank pumps line injector rail injectors its been 2000 miles since they did that and now the car is acting up again it has almost died several time again I don't wanna take it back to dealer if they are goin to keep putting the same inferior part back on 3 times with in 10000 miles is ridiculous I am lookin myself for a pump that will work since vw doesn't want to fix it right.
