Tire Blowout problem #1

Bought a 2015 Jetta se in September of 2015. Vehicle was only serviced by a licensed dealership in maryland, and had just had it's 20,000 service. Told the tires were fine, and dealer rotated them. While driving in a parking lot at 5-10 mph, the two passenger tires blew out from the sidewall with a loud popping sound. No obstacles, or nails/glass etc. In the road, and nothing was ran over. Tires only had 20,500 miles on them, and were rated 8/32 by the dealer two weeks ago at the service appointment. Upon researching, there are numerous complaints about these tires, made by continental, blowing out on the sidewall. It has happened on highways and caused crashes and injuries, and they should be recalled before more folks get hurt. We were lucky that it happened in a parking lot at a very low speed, and I have replaced all 4 with safe tires for my daughter. Please investigate why this tire has a long track record of bbb and various complaints about the tires blowing out through the sidewall at low mileage for no apparent reason. Volkswagen did not take ownership or replace the tires and continental put us on hold indefinitely. I am out $70 for a tow, and $600 for the new tires but luckily no one was injured, thank you.

Tire problem #2

On 10/18/17 went to tires plus for a wheel alignment and found out that all 4 tires were defective. They were continental tires, belt had separated on all 4 tires. The size were 225/45/17. And the car was a 2015 vw Jetta with 19k on tires. Called continental tires while at tires plus and was told they don't deal with the consumer. Called vw gunther in coconut creek, FL and they don't warranty ties on car whether new or used cars. On 10/19/17 called vw America, who got in contact with continental tires. Continental tires said there was a 72 month warranty on tires. All I had to do was get 4 new continental tires put on my car, take back and ship at my expense the old tires; (4) and there is no guarantee if continental tires feels that the tires were defective in my favor, continental tires would pro rate my tires at the time the car was built in the factory, when these tires were installed and give me a credit at what vw factory paid for the tires. Continental tires will not take the word of tires plus as they are a authorize dealer for there tires.
