The vehicle is a 6-speed manual transmission. The vehicle will stall out when coming to a stop. Not user error, since the stalling happens when the car is in neutral - coasting to a stop. Stall out is very soft - akin to just shutting off the engine. This happens nearly every stop after running the car for about 15 minutes. This phenomenon is repeatable and extremely unsafe.
The same day I drove the vehicle off the dealer's lot, it shut-off on me three times; once on the new jersey turnpike and twice at a stop light. The first time at the stop light, I was waiting for the light to turn green. The second was coming to a stop. Further, I was unaware the vehicle had shut-off until I took my foot of the brake and placed it on the accelerator. It shut-off a fourth time the following weekend while in the middle of a four way intersection. Each time, the info center in the dashboard stated, "place the gear shift in park and manually start the vehicle. ".
Jetta 2019 makes a grinding noise when putting the gear on reverse(manual car). Even if stationery for more than 3 seconds it makes a grinding noise. There is something defective on the car that the dealership is hiding from me. I dont feel safe driving the car knowing its defective.
At complete stops (6 speed manual transmission) occasionally the engine stops. It has happened countless times while in traffic. Engine turns off but everything electronic is still operating. Was at a stop light and light turned green. Engine turned off and had to start the vehicle up in heavy traffic.
1. 1800 miles-transmission fluid leak, the service people told me it was a known problem with 2019 Jettas, repair took 2 months 2. Heater doesn't blow out warm air when traveling under 40 mph, even after 18 miles of driving 3. Grinding/croaking noise like a frog at 28-30 mph and again at 40 mph 4. Brakes squeak 5. Trunk falls on my head unless I push it all the way up per owners manual addendum.
