Twice since hitting 50k miles, my high pressure fuel pump has failed, resulting in complete and sudden loss of power midst driving. Vw says that it is a warranty issue, but, has no real guidance or promise that it will be fixed. I do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle until we know why this issue is happening and how to fix.

In June of 2021 my car had a warning light for the dpf filter come on and told me to follow the instructions in the manual to drive it on the freeway at certain rpms to get it to clear well that didn’t work and eventually the check engine light came on as well, I took it to the dealership and found out that the diesel particulate filter was bad and needed to be replaced, the dpf was under an extended warranty because of the whole dieselgate issue, my car had approx 95k miles or so on it when the filter was replaced along with my timing belt. Well six months later the dpf filter light came on again so I brought it back to the dealership that replaced it and they said it wasn’t their fault and that now the glow plugs and thermostat needed to be replaced to get the filter to work so I spent a bunch of money fixing that and now just recently the dpf light and check engine light came on again so I brought it back to the mechanic and they said I needed a new O2 sensor and that would fix this problem, well the replaced the sensor and I drove away and now my turbo blew which was incredibly scary cause my car lost all power and made a crazy siren noise as I tried to get to a safe area. And my car isn’t driveable at all, my car only has 101,000 miles in it and it going to cost me over $3000 to fix the turbo when I just spent $600 to replace the sensor, $600 on glow plugs and themostat, and $1000 on the timing belt. This is a lot of extra money to spend on a car in just one year. I don’t think that the dpf filter should be giving me problems every 6 months. I’m a single mom and I don’t know what to do, I can’t afford a new car but I also can’t afford to keep fixing this one. My car is currently at the vw dealership waiting to be fixed and I hope I’m not wasting my money just for it to break again. I’m going into credit card debt just to keep this car running at this point.

Turbo failed without warning on the highway and I was unable to maintain the speed limit. This occurred in a vehicle that had the tdi emissions modification. The problem occurred a second time after a warranty repair at vic bailey Volkswagen and appears to be an ongoing problem that is related to the emissions modification. The first failure occurred approximately 20,000 miles after the emissions modification, and only 1300 miles after the previous failure and replacement of the turbo.

Epc warning light appears and slows car down from 65 to 15 miles per hour on freeway within 15 seconds, extremely dangerous situation and even had someone shatter my window with a screwdriver for almost causing accident.
While entering freeway have to depress accelerator peddle 1/4 to 3/4 of the way down before acceleration begins. From stop and merging into traffic have to depress accelerator 1/4 to 3/4 of the way down before acceleration. Entering freeway or fast starts, accelerates then dies off then goes again. On hill starts it sometimes rolls back as if it is in neutral. These are intermittent problems at varying degrees of severity .

With the speed control engaged and while pressing the deceleration switch on the turn signal arm to slow the vehicle down, the speed unexpectedly increases. Each press of the deceleration switch normally causes the speed to be reduced by 1 mile per hour. The first few presses cause the vehicle to decelerate as it should, but occasionally on the third or fourth press the speed jumps back up by 2 or 3 mile per hour. Sometimes it corrects itself and sometimes it keeps repeating the pattern.
Was driving on residential street, approximately 25-30 mph, and car just lost power and stalled. After a few minutes it could start again - but the vehicle would not move, even if gas was pushed down. After a week at the dealership - they said it was the throttle. My car would not start before (after only having the car for approximately 7 months and approximately 2000 miles) - and after having it towed to the dealer, they just said the fuel was gelling. But they did do a computer upgrade and said there "particles in the fuel line" that they cleaned out and said I may have gotten "bad fuel". 1 week after my 40000 mile routine maintenance check - my glow plug light went on and I had to have a sensor replaced.
2010 vw sportwagon dsg stalled at traffic signal. Hd to shift into park and turn ignition off locking steering wheel, and then back on to restart engine.
The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen. The contact stated that after the vehicle came to a stop and she applied the accelerator pedal the vehicle would not move. It took her about four to five seconds before the vehicle would respond but it did not stall. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who ran a diagnostic test but could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was driven by two people within the same family and the failure occurred more than one time. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 5,857.
I have a jetta tdi 2010 sport wagon that has significant pause when the throttle is held constant. Random but happens every day. Brought to the attention of the dealership and they said they knew of the problem but don't know why this is happening and will call us if they come up with a fix!.
When taking foot off brake and immediately stepping hard on the accelerator there was a severe hesitation/lag before the car took off crossing traffic. Once it kicked in it took off but is a serious safety concern. I now wait a second or more for the brake switch to communicate to the dsg transmission to tell the clutch to engage. Vw must fix this as I could have been driven in a collision. This was much more than typical turbo lag which is common with diesels. This would occur regularly if I didn't adjust my driving to account for the lag.
Vehicle was turning into a parking spot, driver had moved foot from accelerator pedal to brake. Suddenly, engine surged and vehicle began to accelerate. The driver applied significant brake pressure to halt vehicle and turned off ignition. Vehicle subsequently drove normally and dealer inspection found no problem.
