Interior Lighting problem #1

Dashboard lights found in the speedometer and tachometer will turn on and off randomly when the head lights are turned off. This makes reading the dashboard difficult. Dealer noticed the problem right away and ordered a replacement dashboard from vw. It’s been two weeks and we are still waiting for the part to be shipped to the us from germany. Car has under 1k miles.

1. Manufacturing defect problem: the instruments lights interfere with seeing the road at night. Description: the intensity or brightness of the instrument lights are too high such that objects on the road are not seen well on a dark night on an unlighted road. This is even with maximum dimming of the lights 2. Failure is present continuously as part of vehicle design 3. The manufacturer of the vehicle states that nothing can be done.
