Tamara recall: I have called volkswagon and a local dealer about the safety of my daughter or anyone driving this vehicle. I have asked if there is alternative transportation being offered and both the dealer and volkswagon have indicated they are not offering any alternative transportation. They have also indicated that a solution for the airbag and parts are not available. Volkswagon should offer alternative transportation until this can be repaired and the vehicle is safe to drive!!!!!.

Takata recall I am a 21 year old female college student in tallahassee, FL. My parents and I chose a 2006 Volkswagen Passat to be a safe car for me after an accident, where my previous car(vw jetta) was totaled. Then to find out a little under a year after I purchased the car that the airbags have a recall I have been extremely regretful of this decision. Since that day I have been afraid to drive my car to drive my car each time I get into it I think of how risky it is to drive each time. I have heard stories of drivers throats being slit by the unsafe metal shards that deploy with the recalled airbags. I do not understand how there is still not a fix or means for drivers to be able to drive a car that is safe. I think that it is extremely unsafe and too risky to have one of the main safety mechanism in car to be a threat to drivers as well. When there are recalls on toys people are instructed to immediately return them to the store or at least throw them away and keep the toys away from their children. Now there is a major safety issue with airbags in a car and not his has been done. People have already lost their lives as a result of the faulty air bags and still nothing has been done. I am writing to hopefully get a solution to this issue.

Takata recall: received worthless vw letter. Been driving dangerous car for 10 years. Deflators get worse with age. Contacted vw dealers locally - no parts adn no info. Contacted vw customer service - was told no known instances for vw and no idea when parts available may 2016 to December 2019. Why is takata allowed to be in business after selling millions of the defective lethal airbags? why is vw not required to ger replacement oem parts made now. Can't sell it, give it away or drive it this way.

Takata recall - received recall letter may 3, 2016. If the airbag inflates due to an accident and ruptures the airbag could cause me "serious injury or death. " if I could take my car in tomorrow and have it repaired I wouild feel much safer. But, "a recall repair is not yet available". Really??? how long is it going to take and will vw be providing loaner cars to ensure the owner's safety?.

"takata recall" when will I be notified by Volkswagen when this airbag will be repaired?.
Takata recall. I received a recall notice in April of this year stating that no remedies we're currently available. Given the severity of the issue, I called my local dealer and requested a loaner vehicle which I was denied. I then called Volkswagen customer care and spoke with a representative. Upon saying I felt unsafe driving my vehicle I was told that it was safe to drive as long as I didn't crash, after which the representative laughed. While I never wished to cause an ordeal out of this recall, I feel disrespected by Volkswagen. My only request was that I would be provided a loaner vehicle as I commute collectively over an hour every day on the highway. I feel that Volkswagen is not upholding a proper customer service attitude and they should be looked into. Adding on to that, I would still like to have a loaner vehicle offered to me by Volkswagen.
