I don't understand how it can take a year with a risk as serious as potentially sending lethal shrapnel at my 3-yr old daughters' sitting in the car with me. Takata recall air bag fault light is on non-stop, a recall for airbag is issued, concerned that if airbag deploys I will be killed by the shrapnel. Car is not worth the repair to the airbag fault light, as the airbag it will deploy is dangerous. Vw of USA cannot help me. Can't sell the car as is. . . Too dangerous. Also a wandering electrical problem that causes doors to be unopenable from the outside. . . Never know which door or how many will not open. Today it is the driver's door. Have been paying on it, but haven't driven it (out of fear) since August '15. I owe $2045 on it. . . Want vw to buy me out and scrap it. Car woke up with the airbag fault light one day. Vw USA is very sorry for my problem, but no fix available/no buyout.
All power to my steering wheel including the horn, radio controls and airbag had gone dead. We called vw but they indicates it is not a problem. My 2012 cc was recalled for this issue. I think this is a wider issue than just ccs. The recall should be expanded to 2007 vw Passat wagons.

Takata recall,fuel pump control module recall, wirrs for headlamps failty. Head lamps go out while driving sometimes, faulty parking break that has been fixed and does not work again. No fix for fuel module recall. Car stalls while driving in traffic. Paid 5200 out of pocket for both recalls. Car can not be inspected due to recall with no fix. Been fixing the recall problems out of pocket since November 2014. Also fuel cap light comes on while driving and gas gauge does not work. Both also have been repaired and are again now faulty.
Takata recall I have contacted the vw dealer here in green bay, WI numerous times in regards to this recall. I am not a fan of my youngest child driving this car to la crosse, WI for college, but the dealer cannot help us out at this time, they do not have the necessary materials and then there is the back log. . . .
