Headlights fails proper function. They have been replaced. Seat belts and sun roof do not work properly. Engine replaced;
steering wheels - car pulls to the right everytime an alignment was done and they calibrated the wheels. - problem continued - this problem caused the tires to be destroyed in a few kms - less 20 000;
water infiltration - for now it is fixed;
trunk was hard to open and close - problem fixed. Front doors vibrated - the rubber of the doors are being exhibiting signs of damage;
the front glass ( windscreen ) isn't from the same year of all the others.

Trunk lid lock broke about 5 days before the 8th and it slowly drained the battery. Without my knowing that that would happen I did not attend the problem right away. The charges from vw to fix are: trunk-$ 120. 85 battery- $318. 18.

The trunk latch broke when closing the trunk normally and would not latch. There was no visible damage and the dealer said the inside components were shattered. I had to pay for the deductible because my extended warranty covered the item. I have heard of this happening to other Passat owners. Is this a manufacturing defect?.
Trunk does not latch "bootlid open. " message on dash and warning beep after hitting bumps in road.
Door handles wore out within three years of the life of the vehicle. Consumer had two vehicles that had defective door handles. Not long after owning the vehicle the consumer was unable to open any of the doors from the inside. Dealer found the worn door lock assembly needed to be replaced. Broken outside mirror switch replaced. Trunk lock was loose.

The inside trunk release has failed twice. Both rear door latches have failed. Rear drivers side door will not open at all. The rear passenger side door can only be opened from the outside. Passengers in the rear can not open the rear car doors.
Trunk latch motor failed causing the rear deck lid not to close and the indicator light to be illuminated. Nlm.
