Driving into a curve, my abs brake module failed, turning off my traction control, abs disabling my power steering. As I was trying to come out of the curve, the steering failed to respond temporarily. I almost t-boned another vehicle, scaring that driver to death. . . I was able to pull the car out of the turn, over correcting almost putting it in a a ditch. . . This is a known issue.

2 Steering Failed problem of the 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit

Failure Date: 08/26/2011

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit. While driving 70 mph, the contact stated the steering failed which caused the contact to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a guard rail when no air bags deployed. The contact was taken to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a concussion. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact to send pictures of the crash. The current and failure mileages were 107,000. A police report was available. Bw.
