I purchased this vehicle on August 9th 2025 and it has been in shop 4 times . It is in the shop as I am writing this email. I have had nothing but issues with this vehicle and had to come out of pocket 308 dollars just to find out a problem that I told them that already was an issue the first week I had the car . I am a senior on a fixed income and I cant afford to pay anything more out of pocket . I filed a complaint with the bbb and a represented from the service department called me and said , his boss said they will not work on my car unless I remove my complaint to the bbb . I find this very unethical and a bad customer service representation. This car has been diagnosed unsafe to drive . And even though I have a loaner it is not my car I am paying for . Like I had stated it has been in the shop 4 times and I have not missed a payment even though I have not had my car . The front strut is completely broke , the left one is in bad shape , needs a front end alignment and the front collision warning alert does not work . It has been confirmed these issues are there. They said they were going to take care of it until they noticed I filed a complaint to the bbb.
I originally started out at world kia in matteson, where I was approved for a newer vehicle. But then they suddenly changed their minds and tried to put me in an older car instead. That rubbed me the wrong way, so I went to their joliet location hoping for better service. Boy, was I wrong. Even though they had already run my credit in matteson, they reran it again in joliet, which made no sense and damaged my credit even more. I really needed a car at the time, so I felt pressured and couldn’t walk away. After I bought the car, it broke down shortly after, and I was never given any paperwork about its condition or inspection. They sold it to me “as-is,” but I later found out that under illinois law, used cars must be safe and reliable for at least 15 days or 500 miles, even when sold “as-is. ” my car didn’t meet that standard at all. The car has suspension issues which is very dangerous. The mechanic stated to not drive the car at all it's a safety hazard and I could cause a major accident. There is no recall on my VIN#, but several other owners have had the same issues based of the information on the website. I just want some kind of resolution. I'm still responsible for the car, which is so unfair. This has caused so much stress that I have no clue what to do. Please help. On the 3rd windshield in less than 1 year. . . The smallest impact breaks the windshield. There is a major problem with fragile windshields in the vw line.
1 of the 2 water pumps has been repaired twice. On this 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan between the years of 2022-2024. Upon the last repair of water pumps the vehicle just cut off while driving. No overheating indication notice was alarmed or visual indication of smoke / overheating from radiator. The vehicle failed to restart after putting approximate solution /liquid in the radiator/ engine coolant resvior. The vehicle has been out of commission and mobility of the vehicle to inspect or have repaired is impossible due to being locked up will not even go into neutral. The immediate loss of power and inability to maneuver any steering options posed an immediate danger n risk to health and safety. There have been no notices sent to us about recalls on this vehicle only a class action lawsuit settlement that we should know about concerning the turbocharger. We have had car checked and repairs for engine oil leaks as well. No repairs done have remied the improvement or functionality of this vehicle. On a separate incident the front two front tires wore down tread all the way across in less than 6 months( brand new tires) resulting in the repurchase of two more tires and no mechanical explanation or fix could explain this occurrence. We had vehicle alignment assessment performed and nothing indicated a reason or explanation.
Vehicle was purchased from Volkswagen marin dealership as certified pre-owned 2019 model year Tiguan se 4motion turbo color red on August 24, 2021 and has 18,664 mileage already upon delivery. We have received a recall letter for the water pump & made an appointment to the dealership& brought the car there in vw sunnyvale, CA. . According to the service advisor (tanya) that the recall we are acquiring is not in their database, but oil change service performed on 27,450mileage (estimated) during that scheduled appointment for water pump service recall letter received. My wife paid for oil change service charges and fees itotal amount paid in cash for $450. 00 - now there are issues coming out while driving (1) frequently low tire pressure front r-side (2) airbag icon shows (3) steering wheel steers to the right while driving; (4) the Volkswagen net-software was not activated nor provided. (5) the 4 alloy wheels has like a mirror scratch all over the design of the wheels this are the issues came out in the vehicle that we've purchased and owned possession. . . I bought this brand new Tiguan in July 2022. The engine is either leaking or burning engine oil. I have the check engine oil level light on around every 2000-3000 miles. I had been to the dealer several times. They just inspect for leak and added engine oil. The problem still exist. The dealer stated that my car needs oil change every 10k miles. I am going back every 2-3 k miles for engine oil. There is something wrong with the engine. It is burning or consuming the engine oil. Another problem I have is the wheel or the brakes. When I was braking at above 60 miles per hours, there is a strong vibration on the wheel or brakes.
I purchased this vehicle in June 2022 vw of orlando north florida. I had issues with salesperson [xxx] as he caught himself in lies. Anyway, my vehicle has 5,000 miles I keep in excellent condition I was going to detail and add some wheel options when I observed all 4 tires on this vehicle do not match. 3 are scorpions and 1 is pirelli. Which means unbeknownst to me I’ve been driving this new Tiguan and SUV with different tires. I was always aware especially vehicles awd should be fitted with the same tires. This is a violation, a safety hazard. I contacted vw of America, vw orlando and others I will take this incident complaint all the way to the president if I have to when I purchased this vehicle I was charged for ventilated front seats which was included in the car cost. A disclaimer read they are not installed even though there are buttons. The took off $200 I’m not a mathematician but a 2,000 option not connected with a $200 credit appears they made 1800 extra off me. I want this investigated, as a former law officer I know this is illegal and a very bad safety issue especially regarding the mismatched tires [xxx]. Eagle valley motors sold me an unsafe car I kept telling them that the brakes were bad the transmission fluid was dark and the engine oil was black the tires were bad it was in real bad need of a tuneup I wrote and told the bbb about it and they did absolutely nothing I told carlos he will lie about it just like how they lied to the bbb about getting in touch with me these people need to be out of business they put profits over people and they’re safety and I’m not the only one they’ve done this to I want all my money back I put close to $2000 dollars in this car 600 for the tires 703. 76 for the brakes and tuneup 247. 82 for the transmission 117. 00 for the oil change they lied and said all that was taken care of bologna it wasn’t I have pictures of all that they said they did and did not I’m out a lot of money because of them I’m a senior on a super fixed income and they took total advantage of me a senior and they put profits over my safety as well as my family and friends and my service animal I want to pursue this these people need to be held accountable for doing this not only to me but others as well and if you can’t help me please get me someone who can thank you for your help time and service I really appreciate it I wanted to upload more photos the brake photos and tires it wouldn’t let me I have them and I want you all to have them.
Tire pressure sensor seems to consistently read low tire pressure every month or so, adjust tire pressures and problem keeps happening. A month ago, I had a tire explode and I’m not sure if it was related to a faulty tire or from my improper tire gauge constantly giving me troubles. Bought the car in September 2022, and have replaced 2 pirelli tires since. Now again my tire pressure is reading low in all my tires and the last time they fixed it was 12/23/22, hasn’t even been a month. I see they have had recalls on prior vehicles due to tire pressure loss detection issues. I have 4000 miles on my car.
One wheel show crack , no accident, wheel look like new, but with one crack close to bolting area. (just found recently). Most likely will crack down whole wheel during driving, very dangerous. I am going to replace it with a new wheel, but would like to hold vw responsible.
Good evening, I would like to know the best person to communicate with regarding the discrepancies I have recently found on my title, registration, and inspection form. My names seem to be inconsistent on the the forms. The inspection form also indicates that the left wheel and right wheel have been removed according to the inspection form. This car is not even 6 months old and while driving on a highway the tire blew, my car fishtailed and I hit a guardrail. The tire is shredded. I took it to a tire shop the same night and they said this is not what typically happens to a tire.
The car has had a distinct noise when driving. I complained every time we were in and finally June of 2019 I was told it was the alignment after I had repeatedly told them it was the wheel bearings. After paying for a new alignment I was told that yes the wheel bearings needed to be changed and that because of all of the issues my tires needed to be replaced as well. I had that done, a month later I went in for an oil change and they told me I needed another alignment! I told them it was just done! they assured me that I would be taken care of. If it was actually done, I will never know. Even after all of this the car started making the noise again! I don't have time to go back and forth. I finally got fed up and went in on a Saturday. The technician looked at the car from the outside and took a 0. 2 mile test drive with me in the car and told me that the alignment in the back is bad and has caused severe cupping on my back tires. Saying I need another alignment and more new tires! I have had this car less than 2 years and if it isn't the alignment, the tires, the wheel bearings, it's the sun roof which has flooded the back of my car 3 weeks of owning it and now hasn't constant recalls. As well as recalls to fix the recalls. This car is a complete definition of a lemon! the technician admitted the this model has lots of problems. I've always owned used cars this is my first new car off the lot and I have never had so many problems with a car. Please help!.
Check engine light went on for no apparent reason. Had taken my car for a battery recall issue and was told by vw service provider that they would not cover the problem. Next day check engine sign popped up. I have never driven a worse car in my entire 20 years.
Side wall bubbling on the continental tires twice. Tires had to be replaced twice. I barely scraped a curb and the tire had a huge bubble on the side wall that grew each day. The tires are defective a small I have never had this problem with tires on any car ever.
Aluminum wheel has crack in it with no damage to tire or axle. Tire went flat. One service person says defective. One week later another said "you must have hit something", which we didn't. I have pictures. I have escalated at vw. They don't want to pay for it. Number on wheel kba 46696.
On 5/3/12 @ 12,000 miles, I was slowing @ a yield (10mph) and my transfer case fell on my drive shaft breaking it and the heat shield. Vw fixed it and said it could have happened at factory because a piece was missing that caused the transfer bolts to back out of the case. I complained I wanted a new car and jill, the regional case mgr for vw customer relations wouldn't approve of it. Once that was fixed, 5/30/12 my tire pressure light came on and my right rear tire blew. Went to change the tire and the piece to take the hubcap off wasn't in the car. Vw replaced the tire free of charge because of all the trouble I've had with it. Jill said they weren't going to replace the car. On 6/7/12 my tire pressure gauge came on again and I immediately pulled over and checked tire pressure. 38 on both right tires, 37 on front left and 36 on rear left. I absolutely do not feel comfortable with this car any longer. I paid cash for this car and now I am left driving something I fear.
