Two problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1996 Volvo 850. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driving at speed 15mph, right rear tire exploded, causing loss of control of vehicle, impact media strip, at 12:00 position, dual airbags did not deploy.
While driving 25-30 mph and without warning involved in a side swiped collision. Upon impact, air bags not to deploy consumer sustained major body injuries. Dealer has been notified however unable to remedy the problem.
