One problem related to front seat belt buckle assembly has been reported for the 1997 Volvo 850. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is a design defect with the rear seat belts,the locking clips/buckles are so close together that it is easy for rear seat passenger to disconnect the belt that holds the infant seat.
