While driving at about 65 mph in heavy traffic on I-87, the car suddenly lost all power, including all electrical instruments and accessories. It rolled to a stop and could not be started by pushing (the car has a manual transmission).
While driving my Volvo C30 rdesign, I stopped at a stop sign before I entered main road from parking lot area vehicle began to accelerate to a high speed independently causing the car to move towards the intersection. No cars were approaching so I continued turning but it was very unsafe. It happened before at fort hood and near my house in temple TX. Always same conditions; as I start to accelerate the vehicle jump into a high speed or gear. This morning the vehicle was on high rev idle, did not went down until I change to manual and back to automatic. Please advice.
Oil trap broken. Was told by my mechanic there was a Volvo recall for this problem (dealership recall # 202). Volvo dealership said my make and model was not included in the recall. I believe it was an oversite, as my vehicle was manufactured in the same country as the other Volvo make and models included in the recall. This 2008 C30 is the first model of this type. It should have been included in the recall and was not. Please investigate. I've paid $550 to repair due to poor manufacturing. Please review and contact Volvo regarding this. Hopefully other's with the same make and model have filed a complaint for a stronger case. I want my money back.
The contact owns a 2013 Volvo C30. While driving approximately 4 mph and making a turn, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to increase speed. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing and the turbo control valve was replaced. After the repair, the failure continued. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 560.
