The contact owns a 2005 Volvo S40. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the steering wheel and entire vehicle began to shake as there was an abnormal noise. In addition, the air conditioner, radio, horn and sun roof failed to function when activated. The srs warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the ecm, front axles and struts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 194,000.

Buttons in steering for horn can be depressed 1/2 inch with heavy force applied to them before horn will activate. Dealership has examined vehicle, and replaced connectors. This failed to remedy problem. Please provide any additional information / attachments.

The horn failed to function properly when horn button was pressed from the left side. The horn did not work at times or excessive force was needed. Consumer was involved in a rear end collision in which he tried to use the horn but it didn't work. Vehicle was brought in several times but not repaired to working order.
