I presently own a 2002 Volvo S60 sedan. On October 14th, 2009, at approx. 5:30 am, the front drivers side ball joint separated from my vehicle, causing failure of my upper ball joint, then separating my cv joint and shaft from my transmission. This in turn, caused extensive body damage to my vehicle. I thank god, that I was only traveling 20 miles per hour. If I was on the highway, I would not be writing this today. I notified dalzell Volvo in dedham, mass. And also filed a claim with Volvo of north America, claim number 376672. My claim for reimbursement of repairs was denied by mr. John willets of Volvo. I am very concerned for all the other owners of this type of vehicle. Wheels should not break off while driving.
