One problem related to mid/rear seats assembly has been reported for the 1998 Volvo S70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Plastic hinge on the base of the rear seat broke off causing the base of the rear seat to be unstable, Volvo dealer will not replace under warranty stating the problem is due to excess force not a defect in the seat. (father of owner).
