One problem related to automatic transmission floor shift has been reported for the 1999 Volvo S70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While the vehicle was parked in the driveway the three year old child was able to shift the vehicle out of park. Vehicle was not running, and there was no key in the ignition switch. While the vehicle commenced to roll down the driveway consumer tried to stop the vehicle. Driver's door knocked the consumer down, and the child fell out of the vehicle. It continued to roll until it hit against the curb. Both driver and child sustained injuries, and were transported to a local hospital. Vehicle was not inspected at this time.
