Two problems related to body have been reported for the 1999 Volvo S70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Failure of weld of left front (driver) door check - separated from frame of car. Second occurrence in 9 years.
Driver's door had bad popping sound. It was determined that the Volvo S70 door noise was typical, and always due to failure of hinge welding. Dealer said take it to auto body repair. Body repair shop indicated he performed this type of job thousands of times. Cost: $250.
