Two problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 1999 Volvo S70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Dt:consumer says that the srs light came on and stayed on. Consumer took vehicle to Volvo, and they said it needed a new air bag. Consumer's vehicle was hit in the rear. Once the vehicle was out of garage the airbag light was on. Consumer took it to another dealer to have it checked; the dealer said that the srs control module had an internal fault. The dealer ordered the needed part, and is now in the process of repairing the problem. Consumer's warranty expired, and consumer must pay for repairs $522.
While driving. The srs light illuminated on the dashboard. Consumer contacted Volvo. Was told by the dealer that warranty, expired, and there was nothing they could do to assist him.
