The contact applied the emergency brake to stop the vehicle and the electronic throttle system light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to an auto repair shop. The mechanic stated that the actuator, the electronic throttle and housing would have to be replaced. There was a recall under NHTSA campaign id number 06v441000 (vehicle speed control), that may be related to the failure.
