The rpms would drop to 500 or below, and the car would stall. Took vehicle to the dealer, and they cleaned the throttle. Within 2-3 months, it was the same problem or worse. This was a safety issue. The consumer sent Volvo a letter, and they said NHTSA was in the middle of an investigation and wouldn't do anything until the results were published.
