Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of Volvo XC60

A month ago purchased a 2013 Volvo Xc60 from a used car dealership. On 12/9/19 the airbag icon appeared which said," srs airbag service urgent. " since I live in new york and bought this vehicle out of state in ( virginia) , I called a Volvo dealership near me about the problem. They confirmed that the previous owner that purchased the vehicle had answered the recall and it was than fixed in 2015. I told them if that was the case , than why is this problem happening again, and is 2019. I also explained to them that this appear to be a defected issue with this model since the same problem is occurring again or it was never address properly in the first place by Volvo. This is a safety issue a risk and concern , if I'm in an accident there is a good chance the airbags will not deploy leading to injury or death.

I was t-boned by another SUV in the driver's door, damaging front & rear doors, front panel and back panel. My car was stopped getting ready to make a left turn and the other vehicle stomped the gas to make a left turn and hit me directly. Door would not close after impact and all of these parts replaced. Air bags never deployed and insurance adjuster indicated that this model Volvo does not have side airbags. Please advise. .

Volvo Xc60 flooded when parked & pool of water gathered in driver side floor board water damage in electrical has compromised safety system per dealer (air bag warning went off). Dealer indicated airbags may not deploy in event of crash (yikes, NHTSA please can you put to top of priority list tonsee what other Volvos may be affected?) due to computer board damage due to water leak. Dealer indicated windshield needs to be resealed (dealer found windshield leaking& advised when pressed windshield was loose). Sunroof leaking & dealer advised due to drain pipes clog that needs to be cleaned/modified. Had called Volvo car USA (spoke w/ bettty) b4 going to dealer, but was referred to dealer, said ultimate decision was up to midwest manager ("mm"). Mm advised our cost was about over $800, & Volvo would pay around $1,000. Mm gave us only 24 hours to accept or reject their offer they called a "goodwill offfer". I called Volvo car USA, left message w/ ann for betty but was advised again ultimate decision up to mm. We countered to be reasonable w/ $300 offer for us to pay which mm flatly rejected. . I was in an accident driving on a highway driving my Volvo Xc60. I was traveling at approx 100km/h and ran into the back of a semi that was traveling at an approx speed of 80km/h. The impact was in the right front (passenger) side of my xc-60 and the left rear of the semi. The airbags failed to deploy anywhere on the Volvo. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt as all were wearing seatbelts. Based on the severity and speed of the impact, I am very suprised and concerned the airbag system didn't function.

The contact owns a 2011 Volvo Xc60. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The front end of the vehicle was severely damaged, but the air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 50,000.
