The contact owns a 2001 Volvo Xc70. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle independently stopped. The vehicle was able to restart; however, it shook violently. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer sent an electrical specialist to the local dealer to properly diagnose the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
