I bought my car from a used car lot. I had it about 3-4 months and out of the blue it overheated very quickly, the warning light was on, some type of loud buzzer was going off so I pulled over and let it cool off, it took about 45 minutes but it started back up. I checked all the fluids and coolant levels and everything was ok. This continued to happen for about 3 weeks, quickly overheat, lights, alarms pulled over, checked fluids over and over. After about 3 weeks it would quickly overheat and then shut off on its own and several times it happened so fast I barely got off the road. I took it to a mechanic that drove it around a little until it overheated which at this point only took about 3 minutes to happen. He said there was air in my radiator and he released it and it was fixed, I drove about 3 miles and it overheated again so I returned to the same mechanic and after about 6 minutes he came and told me it was a head gasket but they didn't repair those there so I called the next closest mechanic who looked at the car for about 3 minutes, stuck an air hose in the radiator and he said it was blowing out gas fumes from the radiator meaning I had a cracked head. I had to tow it 200 miles to my house, my wife drove it back and forth to work which was only 1 miles from home, she was able to do that for about a month and then the engine would start stalling at different times such as slowing to turn, pulling in to park, and some times it would stall while driving in busy 4 lane roads. Well, a little over a month went by with all these things happening all the time and finally one day she came home from work and started to pull in the parking spot and it shut off again, we had to push it into the spot but once it shut off that day it has never started since.

Piece of junk since June when I paid $3,000 for it and have put $1200 into it and still broke down and won’t start (ignition switch/key) and I refuse to pay for it to be fixed nor fixing it myself. . Has to be called home sweet home very soon and I need it fixed by gm ASAP or lawyer will be involved and I’m not sinking anymore into it then I have. . Gm products are junk!!! repair it.

Upon arriving at my destination and after I put my in park I was unable to turn my engine off because the ignition was stuck in that position. I ultimately had no choice but to unhook the battery cables along with disconnecting the alternator to get my engine to turn off. Prior to this incident occasionally upon starting my car the ignition would not disengage immediately upon the engine turning over which ultimately resulted in having to replace the starter on this vehicle. I am a single parent and only have one vehicle so this is a major issue for my family. Furthermore the fan speed control knob doesnt work properly because when it is put in position 3 it shuts the fan motor off completely. So there clear to me that there seems to be a major electrical issue. The suspension on this vehicle is horrendous. I cannot go above 45mph without by car wanting to go into on-coming traffic or off of the road or trying to flip over on its side because the shocks/struts on the passenger side are not working properly. I have not used this vehicle for any other purpose then to transport myself and children to and from work/school/appointments. Everyone I spoke to about this particular vehicle has said that these vehicles were manufactured poorly and repairs come at a high cost.

Electrical problems, manifold gone, ants under my battery the whole vehicle was infected with them, battery wouldn't unbolt tailgate wouldn't open, it overheated.
I can be on the street driving and my vehicle just stalls out and I have to get it restarted and pulling the side of the road to restart it that's the first issue the second one is my check engine light keeps coming on and off and my traction system light stays on had it looked at it was fine system light remains on.
Vehicle has hard start when engine is hot. For example when running errands. By the time you come out of the store the vehicle does not want to start. Takes multiple attempts. Gas must be pimped at the same time as turning ignition in order for the vehicle to start. Multiple mechanics state this is an electrical issue but cannot figure out what is causing the issue. Battery & throttle body have been replaced and still not render to the issue. This issue constantly happens and thankfully occurs when the vehicle is stationary.
It feels like the transmission is going out but only sometimes. On occasion it will be driving fine then I go to pull off from a stop and it just wont really go like maybe skips 1st gear or at least part of it. It's crazy and dangerous. I do not believe it to be the transmission. Only happens from complete stop, sometimes. Buick Rendezvous 05.
Car kept running hot and no remedy was found for it. Batteries and other repairs were done concerning the electrical things; but the car running hot was never resolved even with replacing the thermostat etc. I could only drive about a block and the check cooling system error came on and the car speed would automatically slow down and the engine would automatically cut off if you continued to drive it while hot. . . . Smoke from the hood etc. Would happen. Could feel intense heat when raised the hood. If the car was stationary. . . . After running for a while it would still run hot and eventually the hot light would come on in the inside warning panel. The last mechanic took it apart and never put it back together, neither fixed the car running hot problem. The uploaded files and pictures will show the condition my car was left in and the auto parts taken aloose/apart and not reconnected.
My vehicle did not have heat. I was not able to determine if it was blowing cold air or not blowing at all. Before I had a chance to address the heating issue, the vehicle ran hot and continued to run hot until a mechanic replaced the thermostat and the coolant and cu at 2/3 slit in the rubber under the hood. It came to my attention that the vehicle had overheating problems before it was sold to me. I have since tried to sell it and found th st it was not accepted by two car buying/selling websites due to previous salvage. I purchased from a buy-here pay- here. It still has over heating issues and it still has not heat blowing inside. I want to know if repairs will help since it's regarded as a salvage. Is it lawful to sell a salvaged vehicle knowing the purchaser was putting the car on the road? I bought the car in ohio and I live in new york.

Dash gauges, warning lights, & alarms, bells flash on & off and vehicle suddenly runs rough. Dash codes of all sorts blink on & off. New battery and new altenator installed, problem still exists. This happened first when driving on hiway. After vehicle pulled off road and engine turned off. The dash code then read battery issue. We tried to drive again but now vehicle operated roughly and there was no more daylight. We had vehicle towed 100 miles. Then paid for new battery problem did not change so we had a new altenator installed after having a diagnostic test advising the need for a new altenator. I am quite upset becaus ei feel that there is fraud on part of sears autorepair. Diagnostic said altenator was the problem. I paid over $450 for that service and another $150 for the battery.

When driving the Buick Rendezvous 2002 home the brakes began to not respond. After arriving home and driving down our driveway, the SUV had smoke coming out of the engine. The Buick Rendezvous was turned off but continued to expelled large amounts of smoke under the engine area. Within 5 minutes the engine area caught on fire. The bozrah fire department was called and by the time they arrived within 15 minutes or so the entire vehicle was on fire.
Vehicle will go a few miles and stall illuminating battery light. If you let vehicle sit will restart only go a few more miles. Finally car will turn over for split second and rpm will go all the way down and car will stall. No check engine light. Had three different mechanics look at vehicle can not diagnose changed just about everything under hood.

I am having trouble out of my vehicle. I have replace several parts and still have not solved the problem. For instance, when I drive my car and cut it off I have to wait 30-45 mins. Before it will start again. I have changed the fuel pump 3 times and other parts of the car and I have not yet found a solution to my problem. I have had the truck for a year and eight months. The vehicle is motion but it cuts off and I have to wait 30-45 mins. Before my truck can restart. It's been going on for some months and I have changed many parts and it still does the same thing.
The contact owns a 2002 Buick Rendezvous. While driving approximately 25 to 30 mph, the vehicle filled with smoke from the front interior vents. The contact immediately turned the ignition off and vacated the vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic shop where it was diagnosed that the windshield wiper motor caught fire. The wire harness from the fuse box to the firewall was replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that there was a recall, but the VIN was excluded. The details of the recall were not provided. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.
Tl-te contact owns a 2004 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle stalled as the battery warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,000. Ss.
Driving down the road over heat light comes on tried everything took to service and head caskets need replaced! 28 days after purchasing a used as is vehicle!everything I had to purchase a junk. Looks good on the outside and run good for first few weeks even took to midas before purchasing all the fixes all very well hidden.
I was driving when the lights on panel went crazy, doors locking by themselves, ac locked, radio locked, and the security light was displayed. The engine stopped and I din't have any control overthe car, it was a scary experience. I pulled the car over and tried to start it up again, but the security light was flashing. I tried for almost ten minutes, but it seemed like it was no use. I called my husband and came back home, we came back the next day and turned it on and the car seemed okay again. I tried to drive it today, but when I tried to leave the drive way it started all over again. I researched the problem, and it looks like I wasn't the only owner of this car to have these kind of problems. I have read lots of complaints of owners of this same car and having the same problems. I believe this car needs to be recalled, its not a new car but these problems are a safety hazard and I believe this electrical problem needs to be recalled and fixed without expenses to the owner. We can not wait for this problem to kill somebody in an accident. This is a family car and I don't want my family to die or get severely injured while using it.

On, Thursday, July 9th 2005, I tried to start my vehicle, it started but the ignition seemed to keep trying to start. None of the start up lights worked (oil, brake, service engine, seat belt), so I knew something was wrong. I turned the engine off and tried restarting it and it wouldn't start. I kept trying to start it for about 10 minutes. I finally gave up and went inside. I came back out and tried to start it again about 15 minutes later and it started up just fine and everything was working inside. On Monday, July 13th 2005, I tried to start it and nothing happened. I waited about 10 minutes and it started right up like nothing was ever wrong. I feel like there's a problem with the ignition somewhere. I'm afraid of what will happen if the car stalls while I'm driving it. The abs seems to come and go as it pleases as well, I don't know if there have been any complaints about that.
When driving on the highway, white/terrible smelling smoke came rolling out of the vents inside my vehicle. It was so bad that I had to pull over, as it was burning my throat/nose/eyes and made me dizzy- this was in a matter of just a few short minutes. No dashboard lights or other signs of vehicle malfunction occurred at that time; however, this was a very alarming safety situation for my children, who were also in the vehicle. . . ! the fire department was called, along with the police and a tow truck; as I obviously was not willing to drive the vehicle any further! disturbingly, my insurance company (CO) has been very unwilling to assist me through this dangerous occurrence; needless to say, I will no longer be a customer of CO's ever again- and I will never stop warning my family/friends/the community about the dangers of this type of situation, along with highly advising them to not put their lives at risk by having CO as an insurance company!!!!!!.
One day I was on my way to drop of the kids at daycare when the care suddenly turns off, I was going at least 60 mph;I was on the highway. Thank god nothing happened , I was able to pull over safely I waited for a while then maybe 15 min later it turns back on. I started to notice that the car started smelling, like gas, I took it to the mechanic, several times but they never could figure out what it was. After that incident it went down hill it started to heat up on me, wasted more gas, would turn off on me a lot and air/heat stopped working. I replaced the transmission because it started to slip, thinking that it will fix the problem and boy was I wrong. It was still doing the same, the smell was getting worse, I took it back to my mechanic. He told me that the head gasket needed to be replaced, I didn't have more money. He did't let me drive home, he was very worried because the smell of gas was so bad, he said that I should risk my kids and myself, the care can catch on fire. He had the truck towed to my house didn't charge me for it and I haven't moved it since then. . Ive put so much money in that truck, I kept up with the maintenance like clock work. I was just lucky that we never crashed we got close and we didn't blow up. I don't know weather I should take it in to a gm dealer to have them evaluate the truck to see if it is part of the recall.
Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Buick rendezous. The contact states the air bag lights and brake lights consistently illuminates on the panel and makes a beeping noise while driving. The contact also discovers the radio locks up and is unable to operate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 189,000.
While driving at aprx 60 mph the car just died stalled no power had to man handle car to a stop with out getting into an accident almost like driving a bait car the car just shut down this is not the first time had to get towed car still wont start put key in all bells and whistles light up and sounds then nothing as if alarm cut off.
In the spring of 2012 (approximately 48,000 miles), I was driving in a 40 - 45 mph zone, made a sharp left turn into a parking lot and the engine shut down and power steering to shut down. I previously reported this incident to my local Buick dealer, pinegar Chevrolet, branson, mo, just to have this incident on record. On December 29, 2014 (89,000 miles) this same type event occurred when slowing down (in a 45 mph zone) and making a sharp left turn into a parking lot. Car shut off, had to completely stop, place gear in park and restart. Sounds like same ignition issues discovered in gm cars recently, but the Buick Rendezvous has not been included.
Looked down to check my speed and it registered 30 mph. I know I was going faster than that as I was driving on a 55 mph highway. From that time it varied considerably, at times showing 0 mph when going down the road. Today it seems to be working again. In researching I've discovered that this is a known problem but if your vehicle has more than 70,000 miles it was not covered in a recall for the problem. Also when searching for recalls on this year and model it shows several but I have never been notified of any recalls.
Awd disabled itself and the antilock came on and have started to stay on then when I make turns the car starts screaching really loud so I just recently learned of a recall for this so what can I do.
I was driving and my headlights flickered then I lost low beams . . Parked and went back out to go to the store and I had no lights low beams wouldn't work fog light stop working and high beams stopped working look in fuse box to see if a fuse blew and 6 fuses blew and shot sparks out of the fuse box under the hood.
I bought my Rendezvous on 9/2/14 with 193,960 miles on it. On the way home from the dealership, the instrument cluster started acting up. All of the readings of gauges are accurate, however most of the lights on the cluster do not work. The turn signal lights, check engine light, etc. Don't work, however the lights on the speedometer, gas gauge, and as of recently the temperature gauge work. The Rendezvous has experienced no other issues. I haven't contacted gm because I assumed I'd get shrugged off due to the age and mileage of the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2006 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to immediately restart on numerous occasions. In addition, the contact noticed that the control panel on the driver side door was not operating properly. As a result, the windows would not roll down and the doors would not lock. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who stated that the start switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred multiple times. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 05v157000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 166,000.
Started vehicle and began out of driveway, security light came on, gas gauge, tach gauge, temperature gauge and odometer stopped working, car will start but not running right, I parked the car due to safety. This exact problem was recalled by gm on the 2004 model but not 2005 model, needs to be recalled.
Tl- the contact owns a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle would stall without warning. The vehicle was taken a independent mechanic. The mechanic was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000. Az.
Speedometer giving inaccurate reading totally inoperable. All gauges instrument panel not working. Awd disable light remains on. Tachometer, speedometer, heat guage reads erroneous speeds higher than true speeds. High 135mph when stopped. Totally inoperable.
One day I woke up got in my car started driving and it wouldnt go past 55mph I took it to east detroit auto on gratiot in detroit mi and they kept my car for over 30 days saying they dont know whats wrong with it. They changed the fuel pump and gave me my car back not working. I just recenlty brought this car and its a huge hassell.
When turning into my driveway the engine shuts off losing all steering. This has happened several times in the past (since 2009) usually when turning right from a stop sign or turning right into my driveway.
