2021 Ford f150 pickup- consumer states "I purchased a new 2021 Ford f150 pickup from capitol Ford in carson city nevada. I have 5-6 outstanding safety recalls. I having been trying to get the dealership to give me an appointment date for these for over a year and a half. I have also contacted Ford motor company who contacted the dealer last tall to try to get me an appointment. At the time the dealer told them I was scheduled to be called March of 2023 to schedule an appointment. Its now almost June and I still have not received an appointment. The next closest Ford dealer to me is over sixty miles away so it is not easy for me to go there nor do they give me a loaner or transportation to and from that dealership. I have asked Ford to buy back the pickup since, with this many outstanding safety issues I feel I paid them a lot of money for an unsafe vehicle that they and the dealer have not resolved. The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated while attempting to enter the vehicle using the key fob, the key fob failed to unlock the door. The contact used the key to manually unlock the door. The contact noticed that the windshield was cracked and was burned. In addition, the dashboard on the passenger’s side was melted, the sun visor was melted and burned, the air bags were also melted. The vehicle was towed to a collision shop, the contact was informed that the cause of the fire was undetermined however, the fire might have started from the air bags. The truck has 9000 actual miles on it now, but I fail to understand (1) why the windshield leaks and the vehicle has always been stored under a carport? (2) fuel gauge on front tank always shows empty when its full? (3) driver side exhaust manifold is cracked? is there any recalls for this vehicle related to the above issues?.

Rear passenger side window regulator broke. I rarely if ever have passengers ride in my truck and even less so in the rear, so the window rarely ever gets used. My truck is not driven and has been sitting for 4 months in my driveway. I came home one day to my rear passenger window down inside the door. The window regulator broke while just sitting in my driveway not being used or tampered with. I also keep a windshield sunscreen inside the windshield to keep heat down.

The contact owns a 2002 Ford f150 which was purchased brand new in 2002. While driving 35 mph he heard a dinging noise in the vehicle. He assumed that it was his seat belt warning alarm; however, he was utilizing the seat belt. Later that evening, he shut the vehicle off and the heating element continued to operate. The dealer was contacted and advised the contact to replace the fuse and the relay. The failure persisted and upon further investigation, he found that the front windshield was leaking on the driver's side onto the fuse panel. The local Ford dealer advised him to have a diagnostic test performed on the vehicle. No repairs were made. The failure and current mileages were under 85,000.

Right front window on my 2004 supercab F-150 Ford truck fell down and would not go up again (power windows) while driving. This is the second time a power window on this truck has failed. 2009 f150 supercrew XLT. The dash reflects onto the windshield causing visibility problems. It is like a headsup in a fighter aircraft. Laying a black piece of felt cloth stops the problem, but the the cloth causes a problem sliding off. The dash material is too reflective.

35 Windshield problem of the 1997 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 09/03/2008

The contact owns a 1997 Ford F-150. The contact stated that there was a water leak in the front windshield or a firewall that caused electrical damage to the fuse box or the gem module. The failure occurs during the rain. While driving at any rpm, the fuse box would short out. The warning lights on the instrument panel would flash intermittently and the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure still persists. The failure mileage was 121,000. Updated 3/5/09 the windshield was replaced and no longer leaks.
