I was stopped in heavy traffic. The traffic light turned green and the cars in front of me started to move. I tapped my accelerator with my right foot and the gasoline was delivered to my engine with maximum force. I could not stop the car with my foot on the brake. I steered the car to the right so that I would not rearend the car in front of me. The car sideswiped the car I front of me and I went into an embankment and stopped. A police officer thought I may have hit both the brake and the accelerator pedal with my right foot, but he did not understand that I was only going about 5 mph when the accelerator exploded, so that this was impossible. The Acura agency in latham says that I could have switched off the ignition, but with both hands gripping the steering wheel and my right foot pressing the brake pedal with maximum force, I could not have turned off the ignition at the same time. Therefore the advice was not practical.

Takata recall. My transmission is acting up. ???.
Engine cradle is totally broken in half. The car is unsafe to drive & it is all I have. Only 120,000 miles on it, was this a defect on your part? I need help. This repair includes removing engine, transmission, from car to access engine cradle. The cost is over $1500. 00 dollars. I truly thought I was buying a quality car! I have no idea how long I have been driving this highly unsafe vehicle of yours!! it also lurches forward at times when I press on the brake. I'm making payments on it & now must borrow again to repair this car. Please get back to me on this ASAP.

I noticed an srs light on every time after I start the engine and the engine mounting are broken and lose. .
Going 5 mph in parking lot, coasting to a stop at end of aisle with foot off throttle pedal. Put foot on brake and the engine revved to high speed. Barely held car with brake. Shut off ignition. Car restarted fine. This was the second time in a week it had happened. Previous incident was on a residential street coming to a stop at a stop sign. Acura dealer and Acura techline say the problem can't happen because the throttle control is a hard cable, no electronics involved.
Erratic/raised engine idle caused by worn idle air control valve creates a condition where engine idle is suddenly higher than 2000rpm in gear which results/resulted in unintended acceleration (vehicle speeds up with no accelerator pedal input) and the engine is more powerful than the braking system (with vehicle in drive gear, brake pedal to the floor, vehicle will still move forward. ) condition happens to my vehicle when engine is normal operating temperature, with warm to hot ambient temperatures, on any road condition.
I was driving to work approximately a half mile from my house . . My car just turned off, although the ignition key was still in . . It was med-heavy traffic. I don't believe I even had lights but I can't say for sure at first I thought maybe I had gotten bad gas . . Then it happened again as I was turning a corner. Staring became difficult and both times I had to put my car into neutral to restart it . . From there it happened mayb 1 every week to once every 3 weeks mayb . I checked my plugs wires had my fuel filter replaced stopped going where I was gettn gas . . One day I was on the computer at work (oreillys autoparts ) and noticed my car had been involved in a recall at some point , but what they described was exactly what my car was doing . Randomly turning off . . I was told by Acura becauz my car was "fixed" during the first recall I needed to replace my ignition switch at my own cost . . I've owned my vehicle since 2006 . It is a safety issue . I'm afraid to drive my car to the Acura dealer . It's about 90 minutes away . Obviously over time the ignition switch wears out becauz I've only put 60,000 miles on it and I bout it with 65000. Is my safety not a concern with Acura . That how they have dealt with me.

Several broken motor mounts in 2001 Acura 3. 2cl. This likely will lead to defects in transmission and or engine which can cause an accident. This information on broken motor mounts on my vehicle and the likely affects came directly from my Acura dealer. It is likely these motor mounts were broken several thousand miles ago. In 2008 the car mileage was only 65,000 and when I purchased the car on Dec. 7,2009 it has 92,000. I had the vehicle inspected at time of purchase and the broken motor mounts were found by the Acura dealership. I am 62 years old and have never experienced broken motor mounts in any of 20 cars I have owned until now. There should be a recall on these motor mounts, or a credit provided by the manufacture to owners that need to replace broken motor mounts. This truly is a safety issue. The only recall on this vehicle has been for the automatic transmission and quite possibly these broken motor mounts have been the cause or a possible cause. Owners need to be informed about this safety issue as soon as possible by inspections being performed on motor mounts for 2001 Acura 3. 2cl. I would appreciate any help on this issue.
The contact owns a 2001 Acura 3. 2 Cl. While driving 50 mph, the engine and steering wheel vibrated, shook, and wobbled. The dealer stated that the vehicle was not under warranty and the repair would be his responsibility. The contact also stated that the vehicle would automatically accelerate when stopped at a traffic light. On January 9, 2008, the contact went to trade in the vehicle and was informed that it was a salvaged vehicle. He was referred to NHTSA by his credit union. The current mileage was 117,374 and failure mileage was 50,000.
Boiling water leaked inside the vehicle on both the driver and passenger sides. Cc to NHTSA the vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired. Two months later boiling water entered the vehicle again. The dealer blew air pressure through the pipes again to alleviate the problem.
The motor mounts had become loose and transmission had blown up. Ts scc.
