Merging onto a 6 lane highway, specifically the 3 northbound lanes, the collision mitigation braking system activated suddenly. I was moving from the right lane to the middle lane accelerating as needed to maintain the appropriate speed with the middle lane. As I began to ease off the accelerator, the cmbs slammed on the brakes. Speed went from 60 to 25mph on a congested highway at rush hour. The car behind me swerved to avoid. I frantically stomped on the gas pedal to try to keep going, eventually the car stopped braking and I continued. The car in front of me was a few hundred feet away and not braking at the time this happened. Time of day was just before sunrise.

I'm looking over recalls on kelley blue book site.
I was driving on a residential street back home when a haze started coming out of the air conditioning vents. That turned into black smoke coming from the front passenger side, underneath/behind the glove compartment. From that smoke, a fire started in the front passenger side, inside the vehicle. I pulled over to the side of the street, turned the car off, grabbed my son who was in a car seat in the back and got out of the car safely. Not a minute after we got out of the car, the entire car was engulfed in flames. The fire department did an investigation and classified it as undetermined, but mechanical in nature. We bought our Acura brand new from the dealer in 2014 and have only had it serviced at the Acura dealer. We have not experienced any issues with the car, other than regular maintenance. I'm extremely concerned that the car would burst into flames while driving.

Takata recall my airbags were replaced twice already through recall repair and the airbag sensor came back on last week, moment it came on I was in motion and the steering wheel I was not able to control the steering. This resulted in me side-swiping and object, hitting the curb and flattening my tire. There is also another recall on my vehicle.

After the 19-019 and 19-011 recall software update on 04/13/19 we started experiencing the vehicle displaying and motioning steering wheel lane departure when the lane assist is not turned on. This issue happens when the vehicle is in motion crossing to another lane on city streets. We have not drove the vehicle on the highway and are afraid the steer assist will jerk the vehicle at high speeds. We did not experience these issue until after the recall software update.

After switching to drive from reverse the nav display would not switch back from the back up camera while driving ahead, when a car would be anywhere near mine on the road, still in drive, whether idle at a stop light or in motion on the street, the back up sensors that respond to passing cars did not beep. I tried pressing the back button, nav button, settings button & turning the car on/off all failing to fix the problem. The camera remained on even while in park once I arrived home.
While in motion, first brakelight had warning then warning about trailer stability assist. When I went in reverse, the whole dashboard including the navigation screen went black and the car felt like the engine stopped. This happened a few times. I don't think the engine actually stopped though because I did not have to restart the car. The brake light error message has occurred driving forward as well, but not accompanied by the blackout of the dash and nav panel. All of this happened while in motion. The worst of this happened on 07/30/2018 but variations of this occurred prior to that.
Takata recall my Mdx is having a heat build up between the countershaft and second shaft gears. Its casuing my transmission to lock up and I am very concern.
Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Acura Mdx. The contact states while driving at 72 mph, the vehicle stalled as multiple warning lights illuminated. Due to this, the contact pulled over to the side of the road and tried to restart the engine but the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to a Acura dealer Acura of jackson 828 adcock st, ridgeland, ms 39157, where it was diagnosed with a system failure and repaired. The contact was also advised by the dealer that the failure may reoccur. The contact was concerned that the failure would reoccur so the vehicle was taken to the Acura dealer david mcdavid Acura of austin 13553 research blvd, austin, TX 78750, where it currently located. The contact stated that dealer contacted the manufacturer and was advised to reset the vehicle system but if the repairs did not fix the issue there is nothing that they could do. The failure mileage was unknown.
While driving all warning and hazard lights com on has happened 3 times now in dealer shop for over a month I do not fell safe in car the dealer can not tell me weather safe or not and does not seem to be able to fix problem.
Vehicle would not start initially and displayed several error codes once it finally started. Once I began driving it did not have normal steering control and seemed as the transmission had problems. It wouldn't accelerate normally and the rpms ran higher than usual. There was no difference when I switched between normal and sport mode like usual. The n orlando auto nation Acura stated the issues were caused by a bad battery but it was serviced a week prior at auto nation Honda and the battery tested good (see attached image). They replaced the battery and cleared the error codes but it seems like the steering is still loose and still has poor acceleration compared to before the issue with the error codes. I am very concerned about these issues for the safety of my family. It has been two days since the battery has been replaced and plan to return to address these issues soon as possible. Please see attached photos.
Tl -the contact owns a 2005 Acura Mdx. The contact stated that while driving 40mph she heard an abnormal noise and the vehicle deaccelratedand moved went to right and then to the left and stated had no control over the vehicle. The dealership Acura of wichita (10950 e 13th st n, wichita, KS 67206) diagnosed the vehicle and the dealership stated it needed a yah rate sensor and it should make her issue seize. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and told the contact there is not recall on the issue and the contact needed to go to the dealership. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000 . Jc.
I was parallel parking my car and after I got the car in the space warning lights starting coming on the dashboard. The warning lights were; electric parking brake problem, emissions system problem, blind spot info system problem, tire pressure monitoring problem, transmission system problem. I tried to put it into park and it would not engage. Then I thought maybe if I drive it forward some and then park again it will reset. I drive out of the space and noticed there was a red flashing light that read park and the d was flashing. I think the car was telling me I needed to park the vehicle? I went ahead and parked again put it in park (it worked this time, but the p was flashing) and then turn off the vehicle. It would not turn off and instead it just beeped when I pressed the ignition button. After what felt like forever I decided to press and hold the ignition button. It finally turned off. The next day I went to move the car, again all the same lights came on but this time it would not let me put it in reverse. I put the vehicle in reverse took my foot off the break pedal and nothing happened. I put it in park and again tried to put it in reverse. Nothing happened again. I thought maybe the brake was engaged, so I tried to release the brake and tried to reverse again. Nothing happened! I even pressed the gas pedal thinking it was maybe in between gears, nothing happened. I tried putting it in park and then reverse several times before the car finally reversed. I've only had the vehicle 1. 5 weeks I bought it brand new with 26 miles on the odometer. Also, I noticed both of the display screens do not turn on immediately like they used to. When I turned on the car it was a full minute before they turned on and the ac turned on.

We bought a new Mdx 2016 and the car was acting very strange. The powertrain was off, 30000 miles engine was out in the middle of the road, noises everywhere. It is in the shop now and it has been 2 months now since repair. It is still in the shop and it has been over 2 months.
My Mdx vsa randomly came on while driving down interstate 65 in nashville causing me to have to pull off to the side of the road. While researching this issue only certain vehicles have been included in a vsa recall and unfortunately mine is not one of them. The entire vsa system in these vehicles needs to be recalled to make these vehicles safe.
Experiencing the following sudden inadvertent braking issue, but not listed under my VIN even though the make and model fit description of recall. The vehicle automatically braked and pulled to one side causing a temporary loss of control. Vsa ecu malfunction. Nhtsa campaign number: 13v092000 manufacturer Honda (american Honda motor CO. ) components service brakes, hydraulic, traction control system summary of existing recall: stability assist (vsa) control module causing intermittent, automatic, minor brake application. However, if the driver applies the brakes while the vsa is malfunctioning, the vehicle may come to an abrupt stop. (model year 2005-2006 Acura Mdx vehicles manufactured September 16, 2004, through September 22, 2005).
Acura Mdx 2007, vehicle engine and electrical system stopped while car is motion on freeway on my way to work on January 24, 2017 about 6:35 am on 610 loop passed the stella link exit. I had to merge over to the edge of fwy to restart the car. The dash board lights and car turned off completely while in driving mode, going about 60 mph. Very scary and unusual. This is a life treating incident and needs an immediate recall. There are numerous online complaints about this issue, so why isn't there a recall. Are they waiting for someone to get fatally injured or worst? this problem demands immediate attention!.

Driving on city street in traffic at about 20 mph. All warning lights came on. Individual failure alerts flashed on navigation screen. Continued 2 miles to destination and turned off ignition. Returned 2 hours later and everything was back to normal. Took car to dealer and was told they could find nothing wrong. Contacted Acura corporate and they said it was up to the dealer! research shows others have had the same problem but in some cases with highway speeds the car also suddenly dropped speed. Obviously, this could be very dangerous. The issue is clearly an intermittent bug, probably software. Rather than do their job and try to recreate it at their labs, Acura is just waiting until there is a lucky hit on the problem or an accident before responding. Clearly this is a tough problem but that is exactly why the "standard" methodology isn't sufficient. I guess the only response for a user is to not ever buy an Acura again. That will be my solution.
The springs don't work right, the 4 wheel don't work at all, the car don't get up to speed like it's suppose to. Every time you make a sharp turn the transmission starts messing up.
The contact owns a 2004 Acura Mdx. While driving approximately 35 mph and making a right turn, there was a clunking noise coming from the engine. The vsa warning indicator illuminated, the brakes applied independently, and the vehicle stopped. The contact had to depress the accelerator pedal to continue driving the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the stability assist system failed and needed to be replaced. The independent mechanic replaced the brake pads, discs, calipers, and fluid; however, the failure recurred. The independent mechanic informed the contact of NHTSA campaign number: 13v092000 (service brakes, hydraulic, traction control system) and to contact the dealer. The dealer was not contacted. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 41,179.
At 1300 miles. Vehicle exhibited a condition where the entire electrical system failed, triggering alerts for every system. Emissions, stability, every safety function, brakes, steering. Vehicle went into some kind of failsafe mode where the transmission did not shift well at all, and the car was barely drivable. Vehicle did this twice over a weekend. Took it to Acura, and after an analysis they blamed "bad gas. " this is an excuse as the vehicle only had 1300 miles on it and had only had 2 fill ups, and both were with top tier premium gasoline. In addition, I do not believe some "bad" gas should cause the entire vehicle to go completely haywire shutting every system off. This seems to be a major flaw if so. However, as I don't believe the analysis that it was "bad gas", I think Acura handled the situation wrong and is simply using an excuse rather then determining why some sort of electrical condition caused this massive failure of the vehicle.
Was driving car an the brakes locked up lights came on, vsa abs ect. Had to park car as if brakes were stuck. Did not want brakes heating up causing accident.
This is almost brand new 2016 Acura Mdx awd (with tech and entertainment packages). When accelerating on a freeway/road, suddenly lots of the warning lights turn on and then the vehicle does not accelerate any more. The speed suddenly drops. This is definitely a hazard - especially because I am trying to accelerate. This happened 4 times so far - roughly 500 miles between each incidents. The problem condition goes away after we completely stop the vehicle and turn it off and on multiple times (and also put the vehicle in neutral in between). Last time when the problem happened, I cleared the condition and then drove and showed the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer said that there were persistent codes about communication failure and he cleared them. And asked us to call back when the problem happened again. Dealer does not seem to know any systematic problems with such types of vehicle. I have a video of the previous problem condition at https://youtu. Be/ljslicwj7-8.
Car has less than 3000 miles on it. For the last month, there has been 3 times that the car will not start. First time it was jumped off and driven into the Acura dealership. . . "wire to battery loose". Second time the dealership sent a technician out and the replaced the battery with a new one. Third time car was towed to dealerships as it could not to be started at all. The dealership kept it for almost two weeks and retuned it to me with the explanation "could not find anything wrong with the car". Clearly there is something wrong with the electrical system. The car is driven 5-6 days a week, no accessories left on. Now I am scared it will quit going down the highway and I will lose power brakes and power steering.
This is a test from volpe. Please ignore.
Excessive oil use. 2 quarts every 1500 miles. Vsa check trailer assist check engine light stays on often.

Had vehicle in Acura of wichita KS ignition switch recall and the also said they did recall on vsa ecu malfunction recall13v-092 id 589. Problem came back shortly after visit too dealership ,called them and told them about warning lights still on. They said already done recall. Not a satisfied customer at all. Iwonder if they even changed out wire harness or may of even installed used parts. I live 150 miles from the closest Acura dealer you would think they would of at least offered to check recall part?.
