Prolonged high under-hood temperatures causing the power steering hose to deteriorate prematurely causing the hose to crack and leak power steering fluid. Mechanic is saying this is common on Acura.

Began leaking fluid, the Acura dealership said it is the steering rack and pinion. Repair cost $1800!!! this is after having the power steering pump replaced x3. I am not impressed with Acura at all and will probably trade this money pit in :( I do not know how Acura has such a reputation for being a well made vehicle.
