Brand new with 4000 miles. It went limp, stalled and went to neutral while driving, had to stop by the side of the road and restart to reset. And it went limp on highway at 70 mph, continue to decelerate rapidly and did not respond to gas and went limp, engine did not rev up with any amount of gas. It only responded when I set the cruise and hand accelerate that way. Dangerous and scared to drive it.

Tl the contact owns a 2020 Acura Rdx. The contact stated that while accelerating above 50 mph, the vehicle loss motive power and stalled without warning. The contact pulled over and waited for several minutes before restarting the vehicle and, the vehicle operated as intended. Napleton's palm beach Acura (6870 okeechobee blvd, west palm beach, FL 33411, (877)363-2817) was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The contact was notified of an unknown TSB related to the failure. The contact was informed to call back in January 2021 for assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and was informed that the VIN was not subjected to a recall. The manufacturer recommended that the vehicle be diagnosed and the results forwarded to a representative. The contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 5,300.
The vehicle stalls out (limp mode) when accelerating past 60 mph. It will not go above 3000 rpms. Once that happens, it is difficult to accelerate at all, even at very low speeds. I can press the pedal to the floor and nothing happens. The vehicle shakes considerably when idle.

My 2019 Acura Rdx experienced a total, unexpected loss of engine power while attempting to pass a truck on a 2 lane highway. All propulsive power suddenly disappeared just as I expected the turbocharger to kick in for safe passing. I firmly depressed the accelerator a couple times with zero response from the engine. This was accompanied by a sense of the engine misfiring. My belief is that this propulsion failure is related to a turbocharger activation issue. Please note that while my dealer has found no ongoing engine problem in my car, the dealership has ordered turbocharger related parts and intends to install them next week. Also, while stranded, we searched online and found references to seemingly similar Acura failures that occurred in wet and rainy conditions. We were driving in cool and rainy conditions at the time of this failure. Fortunately, we avoided a crash and coasted to a stop on the left shoulder. Engine was still running and the car put itself into creep mode, which allowed movement to the right shoulder. A very dangerous and potentially fatal accident was luckily averted. The vehicle was hauled 130 miles to my local Acura dealership which reported an engine misfire indication from the car's computer but no further indication of prior or subsequent issues.

In addition, the vehicle accelerated abruptly on several occasions. The contact that on several occasions while driving, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle restarted independently. The vehicle was taken to key Acura of gainesville (3435 n main st, gainesville, FL 32609) on three separate occasions however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Acura Rdx. While driving, all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drive normally; however, the instrument panel seized. The vehicle was taken to paragon Acura (56-02 northern blvd, woodside, NY 11377, (347) 862-9539) where it was reprogrammed; however, the failure recurred five times. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where an update was completed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
My Acura has "stalled" twice now while passing (once at about 4800 miles and the other at about 5600 miles on odo). Both times the car was in cruise control and lane keep assist and traveling on a highway at about 60mph. Both times I was overtaking a large vehicle that was to the right of me. Both times, I put the pedal to the floor, the car accelerated for only a split second, then lost all power, the engine light started blinking and went into limp mode. I had to cut across several lanes of traffic with no engine power to get the shoulder. (very dangerous. ) both times, when I shutdown and immediately restarted the car, it then ran normally. However, both times after this happened, the car's idle start/stop function stopped working (the engine never shut off at stops). So far, I have not been able to purposely recreate the problem when I try to do so in safe driving conditions. The first time I took it to the dealership, they didn't find any code or anything wrong with it. However, whatever they did caused the idle start/stop function to start working again. This time it has been 6 days and the idle start/stop function hasn't activated once (I have not returned to dealer yet). After leaving work on may 16, 2019, I accelerated from a stop light onto highway 1 in san luis obispo. Immediately, the car stalled, lost all power, and a warning light illuminated stating "awd malfunction, awd not available. " I pulled off the road, turned the car off. I re started a couple minutes later, and made it home. However, the car appeared to be operating on about 50% power, as it struggled to maintain highway speeds.
While cornering the car stalls/hesitates with no power. Occurs at low speed. Has occurred numerous times on city street since purchase oct. 5,2017. Dealership could not simulate but failed to do any testing ?.
