1 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2006 Acura RL

Failure Date: 12/01/2005

2006 Acura Rl makes a metal to metal noise when braking at low speeds. * answer required*** the vehicle was taken tot he dealer who determined that the noise was a normal characteristic of the brake pads in the 2006 Rl because the brake pad composition had been redesigned. The dealer told the consumer that the manufacturer is aware of the problem.

2 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 1998 Acura RL

Failure Date: 07/03/2000

Rear brake pads were required to be replaced at 16552 miles due to wear. Front brake pads required to be replaced at 26,219 miles due to wear. Dealer claims that these are just "softer pads" and it is normal for the brakes to wear out this quickly. I don't buy it. No one has been hurt-yet.
