1 Service Brakes problem of the 2002 Acura RL

Failure Date: 10/23/2024

About 2013 the 2000 Acura Rl vsa and abs lights came on then the tilt on the steering wheel up and down stop working then the srs lights and seat belts light came on and want go off. So from then till now I have spent about 15k to correct the vsa and abs issues. Replace rotors bearing wheel sensor tires rack and pinion ball joints and power steering pressure hose. But I found out that the problem is the driver side motor mount. Cost is 100 for the part. The part to fix the issue is discontinued. I talk to daisy at Acura corporation relations and disagreed with the answer because the motor mount is a common problem for Acura 3. 5rl because the angle sensor can not be connected with out replacing the driver door side motor mount I gave her the part number from Acura warehouse parts and she couldn't the part and told me it was discontinued part number 50815-sz3-033. There is no refund for the trouble that this part has cost me. The high pressure power steering switch is also discontinued. The navigation and security door locks are also not working no communication with onstar.

2 Service Brakes problem of the 2002 Acura RL

Failure Date: 04/17/2024

This is a continuation complaint with national cemter for dispute settlement to fix safty issues and discontinued parts. The car is not 40 years old and I cannot find a maintenance repair book. The power door locks are coming on and off and the fob key do not work sutton acuta in macon said it needs the antenna but the antenna is discontinued. The navigation system doesn't work because the 6 chamger dvd in the trunk is not working with no electrical tech support from on star. Abs vsa trachion control is on for motr tan 3 years but the vsa switch is discontinued part. The srs light was turn off at the nally Acura in marietta but they came back on and been on for 3 or 5 years. The car is not safe for driving after spending 10000 dollars to repair the same issue. This is my frustration with safty and no support.

4 Service Brakes problem of the 2006 Acura RL

Failure Date: 08/18/2012

Driving down steep "s" turn in mountains when battery cable disconnected and all of car's systems shut down. No brakes, no steering, no power. Worst part was that doors locked and we could not unlock them nor the windows. Extremely frightening. There was no cell phone service where we were. If not for forest ranger who came along, because of car being partly into one of the lanes of this two-lane road, we would have roasted to death. Nobody else stopped in spite of "help" signs. There was no inside manual exit from car. Ranger had to jiggle and hold battery connection until we could unlock car. We were just lucky we weren't either going faster or in area with no mountain to the side of us where we might have gone off cliff. We were on a dangerous curve and were scared to death someone would hit us from behind. Rangers and one of us directed traffic until tow truck arrived 1-1/2 hrs later. The battery was only a couple months old. Tow truck said wrong battery had been installed at time of change and that it "popped" the clamps that ensure connection and a charge on the battery. But losing a battery connection shouldn't mean someone is going to lose their life! we had four people in the car, and we all feel we barely escaped.

5 Service Brakes problem of the 2009 Acura RL

Failure Date: 01/17/2012

Was driving at highway speed; suddenly noticed very slow car ahead; upon braking, car accelerated instead; to avoid head on collision to left, or rear end collision ahead, took to shoulder to attempt to slow car down; eventually got car under control again; have reached no definite conclusions yet as to cause, but have contacted dealer for help, as still within warranty.
