I have had two occasion now where the brake light switch has failed in my 1999 Acura Tl. This happens while driving leaving the car with no brake lights. To go along with this the right tail light goes out at least twice a year every year since I've owned the car which I believe is related. This is unsafe and very costly today's brake light switch repair is $231. 01.
Hd headlights on 1999 Acura 3. 2 Tl have been stolen twice within a 3 week period. Called dealer to inquire about maybe putting locks or something preventing this from happening again. I was told unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done. With the newer models they are not that easy to take out. I also called several alarm companies to inquire about motion sensor alarms and was told that even with that, if there is no impact to the car, the alarm won't go off, however, it will go off once the hood is touched but by that time, the headlights have been stolen already.
