The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.

2 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Acura Tl. The contact was driving approximately between 40-45 mph on normal road conditions and suddenly, there was a slow power response and the transmission failed without warning. The driver was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The failure was contributed to the transmission which required replacement. The vehicle is the process of the being repaired at a transmission auto shop with a rebuilt transmission. The failure mileage was 91,000.
