The contact owns a 2005 Acura Tl. While driving 40 mph and shifting into third gear, the vehicle popped out of gear and approximately 15% of the time it would not shift at all. The dealer changed the transmission fluid which remedied the issue for a month. He was also told that there was no service bulletin related to the issue. The manufacturer also refused to assist him. The current mileage was approximately 27,000 and the failure mileage was approximately 3,000. Updated 07/15/08 the gear box did not engage properly into 3rd gear.
